Uploading files for instant access has never been easier. Dropbox for iOS gives instant access to files that you have uploaded from any device. Plus, you can also share photos with your friends by simply sending them the file link.
To start with, you can upload files directly from your storage or you can scan documents and create files. First, from the main menu you have to go under Files and click the “+” button. Second, select if you want to upload or scan, whichever suits your request. We tested the way it uploads documents and we noticed that Dropbox is very fast at storing your information, as long as you’re using a fast connection.
What we wanted to test was the Scan feature, so we took a book and tried scanning five pages. The app uses the iPhone’s camera, so the image taken was quite clear, similar to the images taken from a scanner. Then we took pictures of the following pages and we could convert all of them in a pdf file. Now we have a scanner at hand anytime!
Moreover, uploading files to your Dropbox account is fast and very easy. You can set up your iOS device to upload content automatically while using Wi-Fi and you can check these files in real time from any device. In addition, they can easily be downloaded anytime and on any device. Files can be grouped by date or by topic depending on your preferences, since you can create folders to categorize them.
Dropbox for iOS is also very useful when sharing pictures from your vacation with your friends. It is also very safe when sending someone some very important and secret documents. The only person who would be able to see those specific files would be only the one receiving the link. You can also set privacy options for your files to ensure they are protected from foreign visitors.
Last but not least, Dropbox offers a very simple and friendly interface. You mainly get the main menu and the app interface on most of the screen. Privacy and preferences can be set from the Settings menu located in the upper corner of the main menu. What we enjoyed about this app is the fact that you can work and save your files online and you can choose which files to be shared and their audience.
